Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that the country currently has no plan for the resumption of nuclear talks with the United States.

He made the remarks at a weekly press conference while commenting on the possibility of resuming the talks on Tehran's nuclear program and the removal of U.S. sanctions.

"For now, we have no plan in this regard. We will make our decision whenever Iran's interests call for it," he said.

He criticized the U.S. for its role in the war waged on Iran by Israel last month, saying it was "unprecedented" that when two countries were holding negotiations "one side encourages its proxy to conduct a military aggression against the other side and its peaceful nuclear facilities, which were under the International Atomic Energy Agency's round-the-clock inspections."

He added that the main prerequisite for any future talks was a change in the U.S. attitude and approach towards the negotiation's principle, stressing that negotiations should not turn into a tool for bullying and intimidation.

Israel launched major airstrikes on several areas in Iran on June 13, including nuclear and military sites, followed by U.S. airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites on June 22. After 12 days of fighting, a ceasefire between Iran and Israel was reached on June 24.
