China's Zhu Yi leads women's short program at Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy

MANILA, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Zhu Yi of China topped the women's short program at the 2025 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy on Sunday, with teammate Zhang Ruiyang placing second in the senior category.

Zhu delivered a flawless performance to score 61.94 points. Zhang finished closely behind with 58.61 points, while Sienna Kaczmarczyk from Australia ranked third.

In pairs, China's Zhang Jiaxuan and Huang Yihang took the lead in short program with 63.70 points among three competing duos. The pairs' free skate is set for Monday, with the senior women's final scheduled for Tuesday. Enditem
